Royal Pitts Special

Ok guys heres the deal. Went to a household auction yesterday where the guy was an avid modeler . One of the items i picked up was Royal Pitts Special kit. All of you remember this one I'm sure. My question is for the guys who have actually had one. I have an ASP 108 setting here and ive been trying to find a way to justify keeping it around. Is it way too much for this plane or could it be a good engine? I note that the factroy information only shows this engine swinging a 14X8 prop which is about what i would expect my second choice engine (.91 4 stroke) to run and it seems physically about the same size. Any thoughts?

were the last known stockists of "Royale" kits. FWIW many American businesses do not sell products, especially Japan products, under the original manufacturer's name, especially if from Japan or Korea. "Royale" kits were made by Marutaka of Japan and sold in every other country as "Marutaka". Sanwa RC Systems are sold in USA only as Airtronics. Oracover ex Europe is sold as Ultracote - the list goes on and on and Americans pay extra for the branding and wrapping. regards Alan Alan's Hobby, Model & RC Web Links

Other countries weren't attacked by Japan on December 7, 1941.

To do business in this country (USA) immediately after WWII, a Japanese company had to use an American sounding name, such as Datsun instead of Nissan.
