Royal Quality Kits

Aug 18, 2003 6 Replies

I purchased a Supermarine Spitfire Junior Series (.40-.45 engine) about fifteen years ago. I was young, did not research anything about R/C, and the hobby store employee must have just been looking for a quick sale (as this plane is definitely not a beginner model!) I, of course, was completely unable to put it together, boxed it up, and didn't get back into R/Cing until a couple years ago. The manufacturer of the Spitfire is a company called Royal Quality Kits. I am looking for information about Royal and any kind of instruction book for the plane. Your help is much appreciated.

I believe Royal went out of business years ago. I haven't seen anything from them for many years. Maybe you could find someone who has a left over manual or something. Ebay may be a place to search.

Royal went out of business a few years ago. Royal kits were rebadged Marutaka kits. Marutaka kits are available here:

They have a larger Spitfire still available

Aren't the instructions on the plans?

Don

Would you be interested in selling it

Scratch,

I tried to replay only to you but your address didn't work. Anyway, I have a Royal Midi Corsair already built that I would like to sell. It has an OS32SX engine. I have also added flaps but could not find rotating retracts that were small enough. Would you be interested? Please reply only to me.

Thanks, Bob
