Hi Chaps,
For the first time ever I bought an aluminium spinner (JP 64 mm diameter type). This is the sort that has an adaptor that screws onto the prop shaft and then the spinner is retained by a bolt that screws into the adaptor. (There is also an adaptor that sits in the base of the spinner and takes up slack there, this bit works great).
I specifically bought the spinner for use with a YS 110 and had the presence of mind to measure the shaft on this engine first. It measures 7,97mm which I presumed to be an M8 thread.
However although I bought the appropriate M8 adaptor at the same time as I bought the spinner it doesn't seem to fit. There was another adaptor supplied with the spinner and this one screws on for around a turn and a half, the M8 adaptor I bought however only screws on for a half a turn or so.
So it seems I was wrong about the thread on the YS ? Or something ? Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?
Thanks,
