YS60FR Info please

Jul 26, 2003 1 Replies

I have recently acquired a YS60FR and having stripped and de-gunked it, all seems pretty OK... But

Does anyone have an instruction book/sheet for this engine? In particular the carb adjustments and fuel & air(pump) connections. There are two nipple at the front of the crankcase, I think from examination that the one nearest the prop is for fuel and the rear one the tank pressurisation, but it would be handy to have this confirmed.

Secondly the idle mixture is usually quoted as 'factory set and altered by changing the diaphragm' I suspect that 'changing' the diaphragm means adjusting the preload on the spring in the diaphragm housing, since this has a very fine thread and is clearly some sort of adjustment, not just a retainer.

I obviously noted the position of the adjusters before stripping, but since the engine is of unknown history and has been at the bottom of a box for ?? years I can't put much faith in the setup.

Any help and advice gratefully received

TIA

Richard
