DGN to dwg files

Is there a way to read dgn files (from microstation) in autocad. At this moment I use autocad 2004 and I will get Autocad 2005 next week.

AutoCAD Map includes the ability to read DGN files. If you do not have AutoCAD MAP, then you will have to look for a 3rd party solution.

Better yet, see if the author of the DGN can send you a DWG, since Microstation can SaveAs DWG.

If you need to read DGN's often, you may want to upgrade your vanilla AutoCAD to MAP when you go to 2005

We specialize in file translations.

Do you need to work w/ the files, or just view them ?

If you just need to view them, Bentley (developer of Microstation) has a free viewer for download on their web site.

If you need to work w/ the files, send us a zippped up example and we will provide a quote for doing the translations.
