System Password for 1997 Acromatic 2100, need more memory

I was hoping that someone here has the password for an Acromatic 2100, so that I can enable more program memory. The machine is a 1997
Cincinnatti Arrow 500.
Thanks Clint

Enabling more memory, is an option. The options are encoded in a Very long password, that is based on your control serial number. There is a ROM on the Basic Bridge Board that contains the serial number of Your control. All purchasable options need the correctly encrypted "key" based on your ROM chip to enable the options.
Bottom line, you need to purchase the option from Siemens.
The passwords that cliff listed will allow you to re-configure the control and change a lot of parameters, but not alter the "purchased options"
You could change the travels on the machine, RPM's speeds, dry run rate, etc.... But not the "options"

Now, If you needed a NEW ..WS CPU.. For an A2100, I have a few new ones in a box.

I was afraid it would require some encrypted BS. Does this whole memory limit piss everyone off, or is it just me?

While it's not quite the same, you can "drip-feed" from the hard drive to get around the program memory limit...

Hey Steve,
How do you go about doing that? I know how to get programs to the hard drive, how do I get it to drip feed from there?

From the Operators Manual, Chapter 11 Program Management:
Execution Mode: The program load method. The default is Standard. Standard - Program size is less than the size of the resident program execution buffer. Continuous - The continuous load feature provides the capability to execute extremely large programs, from a host computer or other external source. Individual programs which are too large to execute can be labeled Continuous in the controls program directory. However, continuous load is automatically invoked if the control determines the program size to be too big to fit in the control, or if an attempt is made to run a program from a data line without first loading it. The following restrictions exist when running in contInuous load mode: Program jumps backward are not permitted. Inline subroutine calls are not permitted Loops are not permitted (DO..LOOP in Programming Manual). While running in continuous load, if an edit to the program is required, the control permits editing of the current program segment. At any point during program execution, the program execution can be halted (Feedhold, Data Reset), and the user may select to edit the program. In this case the current segment appears in the editor and edits are permitted. Program search and positioning can be used to change position in the program up to the end of the current program segment. If the user attempts to search or position beyond the end of the current program segment, a prompt is displayed asking if it is desired to go beyond the current segment with notification that the current segment will be lost. If the user selects to advance beyond the end of the current program segment, the current segment is overwritten by a new segment and the old segment is lost. Block Feed - The Digitizing feature, for use with a third party Digitizing or Scanning system.
11.2.4.1 Modify Execution Mode (Standard to Continuous) Use the following procedure to change the execution mode from Standard to Continuous. 1. In the NC Part Programs directory, select the program by highlighting using the touchscreen and/or up/down/page up/page down buttons . Use arrow keys to position to the Exec Mode column in line with the program. 2. Touch Modify Directory. Touch the Modify Value button to expand the Exec Mode selection. 3. Touch Continuous. 4. The program is now registered for Continuous load when executed.
Hope this helps... SteveA
