Where may one read more about the statistical software that may be implanted onto existinf software systems and get the readings via mobile device (e.g. WAP and a mobile/cellular phone while on the tropical beach, etc.)?

Consider looking at the many subroutine libraries available for the statistical software. They will provide results to your software, based upon your inputs. There is probably some software package which will let you get data over a phone, or you could use your software to simply send you a text message from time to time.
