Qualifying resonators, oscillators, and crystals

I am looking for information about qualifying components such as crystals, resonators, oscillators. For instance, if I already have a working design and I been using nothing but company ABC form my microchip, now I have XYZ offering me a competitive rate. So now, I want to qualify XYZ crystals. I am looking to see if there are any industry standards for testing in already working designs. Alternatively, standards that big name companies have used would also be acceptable, such as IBM. I am not sure where to look for information. Does any body have any good resources for this or any advice?

I first posted this in the engineering group not realizing that there was a specific electrical engineering group. So I apologize for the cross posting.

Thank you, Josh
