track lighting problem?

Working in a commercial warehouse I moved a switch location added two outlets and replaced the switch itself. The switch is good when ohmed out on my fluke meter near zero resistance. The track lights now are noticably dimmer. I have reseated all connections that I made. The 10 track lights are wired with 2 twelve/two romex wires all the way back to the circuit box which contains the switch [already in place]. The switch is standard not dimmable the only other thing is there are circuits with 277 volts nearby but I have never seen 277 volt track lighting and I don't believe this circuit was ever hooked up to 277 volts. Any suggestions?

Check the voltage at the track, be sure what you really have. Then start working your way back to the source to see where it is dropping. If it is a loose connection it will be hot. You may just have a bad switch.

is your Fluke true RMS reading? there may be a dimmer somewhere in the circuit that you haven't discovered. if so a typical peak reading meter may lead you astray.
