I notice that there's o lot less traffic in this group (~1 post/day)compared to a few years ago, and alt.toys.lego seems totally dried up. Has Usenet gone totally out of fashion? The only real alternative is the boards at lego.com, but these are strictly moderated, poorly organized and has limited retention time. I considered the lugnet.com forums, but having to pay for membership was quite a showstopper. It's not so much the amount ($10+/lifetime) as the priciple, as payment over net is still a bit messy and tends to exclude kids and casual users. In addition I dislike the idea of having to pay for what I earlier got here for free (there may be many reasons to contribute to Lugnet, I'm speaking strictly about posting access to the boards). Is there any other places worth knowing about?
