Bramah did not invent the concept nor coin the word "padlock".

Without the key

Bramah was a great inventor and did invent one heck of a pick resistant lock, but padlocks were around for a long time before Bramah.

But it took more than 200 years for someone to figure out

What bunk.

If a key breaks off,

This can work, but in other cases it can make things worse.

They don't really care.

If you want to read more about Bramah here is a link to a free e-book that is worth reading:

That is the worst kind of advice that can be given to anybody. DO NOT TRY THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That site is probably owned by the big box-they want to sell new cheap locks to people who try crap like that-then tear up the lock.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get yourself an extraction kit-AND STAY WAY AWAY FROM HOME IMPROVEMENT SITES-- THAT IS MY ADVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some good locksmith sites out there.

And whatever you do-- STAY WAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE LOCKSMITH!!!!!!!!

don't know about Charles Stewart-I know Bill, though.

my2, goma.
