Door Lock Removal

Once you have the inner lever off, the inner trim ring snaps off. This exposes two screws. Remove the two screws from the inner side, and two screws from the edge of the door, to release the latch.

There are two screws behind the outer trim, so I have to be able to get the outer handle off, and the outer trim ring... but can't without the key, right?

No the screws are under the trim on the inside rose plate. The inside rose plate is in two pieces, a thin decorative piece and a thick steel plate that provides support for the screws to secure the lock body to the door.

With the inside knob removed, look carefully around the edge of the rose plate, and you should see a small gap where you can insert a flat blade screwdriver and pop off the decorative rose plate. This will expose two screws, remove these and the rest of the lock will come out the front.

Take the whole lock body to the locksmith and he will be able to fit you a new set of keys.

ON THE INNER SIDE.. no need of messing with outside.

that big chrome ring priy's off, and uncovers everything you need to get the complete handle off the door. 2 screws or 4..

and you CANNOT pull the outer handle without the key..

I've always found the screws under the INNER knob trim. If yours is under the outer (key operated) trim, that's something I've not yet seen. In 20+ years of locksmithing.

I believe it is this lock

I was able to rip the outer half off of one of the doors, as it was hollow. There clearly are two screws into the wood door from the outside, behind the trim ring.

The other two doors I need to do are solid wood, and I can't rip out of them.

unfortunately I DETEST Arrow locks-all I ever see in my area, some idiot contractor from way out of state installed..and are junk.

lets assume something.. there CAN BE a spring assembly- do not know if Arrow has one like others similar, but, and this spring assembly is held onto an INNER plate that is NOT mounted to the door- you rip off the cover, you see springs and assumed..

the INNER handle does come off if you poke the small pin, and EITHER you twist and pry, or gently straight PRY the chrome cover off, no destroying it.. and that gets you access to 2 thru bolts.. MAYBE.. 1 at 12 o clock, and 1 at 6. (assuming its a decent design) those 2 will pull the inner spring assembly and perhaps everything off the inside of the door, so that you can slip the entire remaining mechanism out of the door.. YOU MAY have left, instead, a thin flat plate that has 2 screws visible, AGAIN at 12 and 6 o clock position, about 2 3/4 diameter overall on the flat piece of steel, that must also be removed THEN the remaining knob will come out.. the outside key side usually NEVER has to be 'ripped off', to get the lock out of the door.

Hmm. I havn't personally worked on one of those, but many lever sets, you need the operating key (or to be able to pick locks) to get the outer lever off. Might want to call a locksmith.

I've done a few so far.

You could pick the lock and depress the retainer and remove the lever and the scalp, and you will see two sheet metal screws at about 9 and

I can envision a "contractor" drilling these all the way through and putting hex nuts on-LMAO

If those 8-32's are put in from the outside-It's contractor crap--and may god be with you.

You have to unfasten the latch unit and take out the hollow screws also.
