Glossary by the LIST Council... Article of the Week

The Article of the week is going to be a Category of the Week.

I just put every locksmith jargon definition into my website at

and noted there were a few corrections needed and the list of terms is a bit dated.

I have noticed that there aren't any official definitions for things like:

PATS CAN Flash (or Reflash) Immobilizer Lock Bumping Transponder PK3 Clone key Cloner Powered head key FCC ID Remote On-board computer ECM

and many more modern terms.

Maybe you could help define some of the terms that are new to the industry or went undefined previously.
