Sargent Parts. Yoke?

How do I upload a picture so somebody can tell me what the parts are that I have? I think they are Sargent parts. Maybe yokes. Aluminum material. About 100 of them. Thanks Bob AZ

Yokes? Are they yellow?

Seriously, what is the function of these mystery parts and what kind of Sergeant lock do they go to?

Google "web image posting" and choose a free site to post image(s).

Once you have a link reply again so that folks can help you to identify them.

I don't know what the function of these parts are and am not positive they are Sargent. All I really know is that I bought a big lot of Sargent lock stiuff and they are part of the lot. So the Sargent thing about the subject parts is an assumption. I will post a picture later today.

A few are somewhat yellow.

It's difficult to size it up without something of known size -- a coin or a hand -- alongside it to put it into scale. It could be an inch long or ten inches long. I've worked with a wide variety of manufacturers' architectural hardware, including plenty of Sargent, and I don't recognize that part. It looks like it's cast in pot metal and has a hub with a hole drilled through it. Can you get a diameter on that hole, and is it threaded? There appears to be a smal logo or something in a circle just below the hole. Can you get a closeup of that circle or describe what's imprinted in it?

cylinder's tailpiece to throw a mechanism, or it could be part of an exit device or exit trim. It is meant to be an internal, covered part which is not normally exposed. If all else fails, your local builder's architectural hardware distributor can be your friend if he's knowledgeable and knows how to use his catalogs. Your best bet would be to work out a store-credit deal with that distributor (because he deserves a cut of the action for taking all those parts off your hands) which you could use to 'purchase' some better-than-average (grade one or two instead of typical redential grade three)hardware from him. it's a newfangled way of doing business called "bartering."

The piece is almost 2" long. The hole is 1/8". Not threaded. The picture is actually of 2 pieces. One LH and one RH. No logo or inscription. Looks more aluminum than pot metal.

Thanks for the input. Bob AZ

I've seen that kind of part. It is contained within a "monkey bar" panic exit device. I want to say Von Duprin 88, though Sargent may have something like it. The hole you see, is not threaded. It's smooth, as the hole is a pivot.

The smaller or the two tabs is activated by the cam which is turned by a rim cylinder. The longer of the two tabs (extensions) pulls on the spring latch, thus unlocking the door.

Unless someone was manufacturing panic bars, I don't really expect anyone to need this part. They don't wear out, in my lifetime anyway.
