ANSYS external graphics

May 31, 2004 0 Replies

I am new to ANSYS and I am really struggeling to fing a way to export graphics from the commandline. As I have quite a large set of analysis to run on several similar but slightly different structures, I would like to have on input file to run all the simulations and "dump" png files in a subfolder. I would also like to set the filename, so that I can automaticcally extract the images I am interested in from the folder containing the graphics. I have tried using the /SHOW command, but I haven't managed to set the filename of the png-files. I know it is possible to do this by hand through the GUI, so it should be possible to by scripting as well. I manage to export in the ANSYS format for processing in DISPLAY, but this seems very inconvenient. Certainly there must be means of exporting graphics directly from ANSYS using an input-file.

Any advice is highly appreciated.
