A new Job for gunner

Hey, why don't you quit fooling around with the OT posts here, and go hunt down *these* turds:

The guys who stole the (obligatory metal content) congressional medals of honor....

Maybe Kerry's planning another protest? Planning on throwing someone's else medals at the Whitehouse again?

I just love to watch chickenhawks slander actual Combat Vets with distinguished service records. You guys seem to get off on that.

Ah, Charles, I don't read Gunner's messages, so I don't know if he's told you this or not, but he's not a chickenhawk. He served in Vietnam. He's been there.

I point this out not because I'm one of Gunner's defenders, but because, if he hasn't responded to you already, you should prepare yourself for a significant shot from his flame-thrower.

No response on that from him yet. I took it to mean that he was saying that others like cheney, wolfowitz, etc were chickenhawks.

Here truth is indeed an absoute defense in the matter.

Thanks for your permission, Jody.

Ive read some of gunners messages. Paraphrasing "ive seen every way to die you can imagine yada yada yada" Methinks gunnar watched "the green berets" one too many times (GREAT movie!) Most people who served in Viet Nam werent combat soldiers. Just like most servicepeople in every war. Of those who did only a relatively small number actually killed anyone. And most of the killing in viet nam was done at very long range via airstrike, artillery etc.

A couple elections ago a rethug hypocrit claiming to be a CMH winner and a SEAL(or Special forces one) was elected. He resigned in disgrace a couple days after the election when the media FINALLY bothered to check into his background and found the military had no record of him. Noticed he couldnt remember the name of any of his team members, where he'd served, his CO, his unit etc...

I take anything wingnut keyboard warriors say with a Block of salt.

Heh jody? Pathetic idiot. I guess you at least listened to a >80's era< march songs eh. Bought them on ebay did ya?

On the other hand if you are an Actual combat vet.. (and i'd be shocked).. id think youd actually give a damn about the near 1000 american soldiers who came home in body bags and the 2-5k who came home maimed. But then again.. you wingers view honoring the men and women who died for their country as treasonous from what i recall of the screams of righteous anger at Ted Koppel (whos a Conservative btw wingnut) daring to show their names. Its a shame that "Honor" thing didnt take for you.

Tooth and tail in RVN was the lowest of any war up to that date. About

7:1. I think WW2 was 21:1. (tooth and tail means how many support pukes were behind the guy pulling the trigger..RVN was 7 support to one in the bush IRRC)

I agree. I should also note that there are many violent ways to die that have nothing to do with the military. Some involving other people, some with machinery, some with live stock, some by ones own hand. Shrug.

Yup..there are a few posers out there. There are a number of websites devoted to uncovering them and rightfully so.

Given your posts up to date..hate filled and spewed with the venom of a spitting cobra..Id have to say you have some real issues.

You really need to get to know Lennie better. The two of you would make a great couple.

Please dont breed though. The hybrid between that union would be force the hospital to close.

If im mistaken about your service i humbly apologise. But you know as well as i it has become a positive sport on the right to fake service. Especially by cowards and keyboard warriors. The combat vets i know whove actually seen combat HATE war. And the last damn thing they want to do is send their sons and daughters to do it. Of course when its a noble cause most people support it. But this war isnt noble. This war is about oil, poll numbers, and filling the pockets of the chickenhawk VP's company at the cost of american blood.

You're damned straight im mad as hell. Your gonna find out a hell of a lot of us evil lefties the right wing cowards have been talking shit about for the last decade are sick of it. We do things like serve in the army , navy , air force, marines and coast guard. We vote. We care about our country and the other human beings on the planet. And we're sick of the right wing lies, cowardice, corruption and attempts to shred the constitution a lot of us took oaths to protect. And guess what.. a large majority of the country supports our issues. Things like putting the working class over corporations. Things like insisting that when a single mother is working 40 hours at mcdonalds and another 20 hours at a convenience store to feed her child she makes enough money to do so. Things like insisting that Bill Gates actually PAYS TAXES (btw the rich DONT pay taxes now. The middle class do. They have you rethugs to thank for that). Things like believing capitalism isnt a religion and that shipping our industrial base to the Communist Chinese while they hand out checks to the Republicans on the floor of the house of representatives is a BAD thing. (BTW i notice you rethugs dont mind the communists so much so long as they provide slave labor for the corps who own you).

You're damned straight we're pissed off.

How so? Want to look at the number of wars Dems entered the nation into, versus the Republicans? You will not be happy. Were most of those wars proper as is this one? Id have to say..maybe.

No idea..but when they do..a nice visit from Vlad the Impaler would be indicated.

October 31, 1941 a German U-boat attacked and sank the US destroyer the Reuben James, an act of war.

On December 11, 1941 Germany formally declared war on the US. The US Congress reciprocated later the same day.

June 8, 1967 the State of Israel attacked the USS Liberty killing 31 American citizens. When was that war declared?

But did they have to? Afterall..according to Carl..it was a really bad war and we shouldnt have gone.
