Book Recommendations?

On topic, which is a switch for me .

What book(s) would you recommend?

Here are a few I've found either useful, interesting, or both:

_Machinery's Handbook_ (various editions) (needs no explanation)

_Tool Steel Simplified_, Frank R. Palmer. (thanks to Ed H.)

_The Complete Bladesmith_, Jim Hrisoulas (if you're interested in forging blades, buy it and it's companion volumes)

_Steel-Makers and Knotted String_, Harry Brearly (History of the transition from the art to the science of steel making)

R, Tom Q.
