Think I'd like a 6" x 3" x 3/4 bit of Delrin AF.
I can get a sheet 12" x 24" of that thickness for $675.80 plus shipping etcetera.

Try eBay. Scraps of odd nylons and plastics show up for sale there quite often. (Ouch, expensive in small pieces, too.)

Could you use tubular stock and anchor it like a bulkhead fitting?
Also check out buying pre-made bushings, might be much cheaper.
If you were happy with UHMPE you might find a chopping board that thickness.

Call around to machine shops and ask the guys who does plastics machining. Metal guys know who the plastics guys are.
I generally get a 50lb box of plastic scrap for a box of donuts.

All ya got to do is find shops that machine mostly plastics..and carry in some dognuts.
Most guys who machine this stuff have more scrap/chunks/bits than they know what to do with
Scrounge, swap and trade. The name of the game

They may need a couple parts machined from steel or aluminum, too.
Maybe..but most of them can machine their own metal parts. Dognuts (donuts) is a pretty good trading item.

I was thinking they might need it done in some alloy they don't normally work with, or have on hand.
