Personally, I don't buy cutting tools unless I can immediately earn money by dulling them.....
At which point, full price is okay because I most certainly don't to be stuck relying on the rather random availability of discount tooling on ebay etc...it's difficult enough to consistently make a profit--even more so if your costs aren't fairly stable.
