hex brass

I was in the same boat here in UK, couldn't find it anywhere. In the end I used a jeweller's hexagonal drawplate and made my own by pulling round brass rod/wire (when does rod become wire?) through it. It worked very well; and I can make lots of different sizes.

Its not difficult to find. It is sold by many model engineer suppliers. Here are a couple

look in brass hex list, its not necessarily in ascending size order. I have dealt with this guy he seems quite good.

I got some from Metal by the Foot which is on the web. THey are located in KCMO and I've gotten material from them for years. THey will cut material to whatever length your needing which is really handy. Ken
