I bought a hoist trolley on ebay. The seller listed it as a 1 ton unit. But now that I look at it in detail, I am questioning the stated capacity. It seems a bit light-weight to me.
The trolley has some markings cast into it: Jervis and
2380
but nothing else. The unit is in good shape (although a bit grungy). All the wheels turn freely.
I did a google search using the markings above but didn't find anything useful.
How can I determine if it really IS a 1-ton unit short of loading it with 2000 lbs of stuff?
