I have the opportunity to buy this thing very cheap. BTW...what IS a good price for this unit?
I was going to choose between hypertherm max 40 and the newer 380. i can get the max40 for much cheaper...but alas, I cannot find specs on it or any usable advice. I'm hoping this group will shed some light for me. Is this unit hard on consumables? how is the life span...it's a hypertherm, so I assume it would be good. Any and all info greatly appreciated.

I was interested in a Hypertherm unit that was up for auction. I called the factory to check on parts availability and was told that they had only a few parts left for that particular model. There is always a reason behind a good price on a great tool.

I have a PowerMax 380 and love it. I paid $995 delivered to my door, from a company out west either Montana or Wyoming, can't recall the name. It is a dual voltage 120 or 240 power, running it on 240 volts on my PlasmaCAM. B.G.
