Jacobs Impact Keyless Chuck Model 610

I just received a Cleco Air Drill with a Jacobs Impact Keyless Chuck, Model 610, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use the chuck. It's not like any other keyless chuck I've used on drill motors, drill press, lathe, etc. Can anyone help? I tried

If it is like on the aircraft drills I have used, put the bit in , tighten lightly, hold chuck and pull trigger to tighten. To loosen, hold the chuck, pull the trigger, and let go of the chuck while the trigger is pulled.

Thanks everyone for your help. I had to pull up the patents from the US Patent Office to finally figure out how to use the chuck. Footy, after reading the patent your description made more sense. If the chuck is too tight on the arbor shaft the jaws will not move. The Impact refers how the chuck is loosend There is a spring inside the chuck that causes an "impact" when you hold the chuck still, pull the triger and then let go of the chuck. This spins the chuck on the arbor threads allowing the bits to be removed. After using the chuck this weeked I've come to really like its quick change action. Thanks Again!

I know this is an old thread, I used to have one of these chucks, and I can't really explain how they work but if you want to sell it I would like to buy it. You may contact me at 970*250*6433, thanks.
