I'm having trouble figuring this out.

"Is it that your four lathes are more like work, and the boat is 'play?'

Or is that you own four lathes because boats are too much work, you'd rather play with lathes?

I myself think the second is a better approximation. At least the lathes don't require the sort of maintance a boat needs!

Jim "

It shouldnt be too much trouble to figure out. Ive run lathes for the last 35 years & made $ with them. When I sail, I relax, drink & screw. Not much of a contest there.

"A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money."

Ted (who has three or four)

There's a lot of whacky folks in this ng who might think that lathes are more relaxing than boats. However you comments are well taken and it sounds like you have the relaxation mode well understood!

A friend of mine says that "if it flys, f%cks, or floats, you're better off renting it."

Jim

You are unsure how many boats you have? Seek help immediately! :)

Regards. Ken (once I had three; took the cure; only one now)

Not sure how to count the two canoes, the leaky sabot hull used as a row boat.
