I got a Ridgid 12-R pipe threader with a 1/2" die recently in a bunch of stuff. It's in good shape, basically like new. I'm pretty horrified at the price that 12-R die heads command, though -- I've been watching them on ebay for some time. It seems like they always go for $25 apiece plus like $15 to ship them. Yuk. Yet the 12-R I have works really well on 1/2" pipe. I'd really like to be able to thread other sizes as well. I notice that the Ridgid 00-R series is much cheaper. I'm wondering if they don't work as well or what.
Mostly I would probably do 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8".
