One of the other NGs is mentioning that one of the big "spam" fish was just indicted in the US of A and the rest are holding off to see what's going down.

The Bayesian filters seemed like a good bet, I tried Popfile, since it is free and would work with my email client (Pegasus). After a couple of weeks of training, I'm seeing fewer than 3 spams daily, often none. YMMV.
