Medicaid, at least in California under the MediCal program, does cover glasses and dental. The trick is to find a dentist or eye dr who is willing to take it. Most won't and it isn't mandatory that they do (as there shouldn't be). Some of the dental clinics do but they are booked waaay out. Sue

The new fad is titanium and ceramic. Stainless is history. Plastic is popular also. I am deciding right now which one to get for myself. The big question is whether or not to use cement.

In the UK most surgeons take your age into account, aroud 65 and over they are cemented and younger they are not. Sensible really because younger people are more likely to need a second in that hip and not having the artificial joint cemented makes it easier for the surgeon and less bone damage for the patient. Mine are both cemented.
