Spotted a new publication at Barnes and Noble yesterday, this is a new publication called "Make: technology on your time" published quarterly by O'Reilly. I'm especially intrigued by the simple magnet accelerator that uses steel balls, some magnets and a ruler. There are some nods to the live steam folks, aerial photography using a kite, build your own credit card magnetic stripe reader, a dirt-simple steady cam for a video camera, all sorts of interesting things that lean to electronics, but touch on the stuff of this newsgroup as well. It looks pretty clever though I may be going overboard a bit. I tend to get enthusiastic when seeing the rare new publication that appeals to my brain instead of jerking around different aspects my mammalian desire to reproduce immediately. You can get a look at it (the new publication, not me) at
Gunner, have you seen the new Tab book "Electronics Gadgets for the Evil Genius?"
