Strange chop saw problem

Hummmm sex makes me sleepy. After chasing my lady of the moment around for an hour or so under the sheets, we are both ready to crash. And its free. And good for the heart and waistline.

It does not make me sleepy. My real problem is that I am a night person, like to stay lake and wake up late, but wake up early due to work.

Okay, so I'm late and catching up, but Gunner wrote on Tue, 03 Oct 2006 17:26:27 GMT in rec.crafts.metalworking :

Ah yes. Best diet I had was spring break. Spent the week with my lady friend, and it quickly turned into "Sex before breakfast? Sex instead of breakfast!"

Taste great! Less filling!

An Aerobic exercise program that leaves you feeling good, too.

True enough..I guess a 6 pack would be a bargain. But then again..you only rent it.

I had similar problems with the ubiquitous 4x6" Hor-vert bandsaw. I thought it was the switch, but finally it got bad enough I could determine it was the POWER CORD! I have a lot of stuff on the floor, and sometimes step on the cord. This crappy cable had no high-strength members in it, just some rayon string or something, meaning the copper wire carried all tension loads. You step on the cord and the wires break inside! Anyway, try wiggling the cord, even try to "make it shorter" and if the saw fires up, you need to replace it with a good UL-rated cord.

Jon, thanks, my problem was the brushes... It is all good now, that I retightened the brush caps. Someone local to me is offering a very lightly used used Milwaukee chop saw, for $100, maybe I will bite.

Ig, this is far beneath you. $100 for a chopsaw that works? Utter heresy!

I'm still using a Jepson rebuilt I bought for $69.95 over a decade ago. You'd have gotten it for 69 cents.

You do have a rep to maintain, ya know.

Don, yes, you are right as usual, it is too much for that chop saw.
