Decent software. All based on the Intellicad engine and also marketed by various folk, Cadopia also comes to mind here who also run as Intellicad.

It is a 98% AutoCAD clone ate a lot less price. Best program to get IF you can find it is Intellicad 2000 This was released as a taster but they forgot to put the 30 day limit on it or whatever. Never expires and it was offered as a free download.

They soon realised their mistake and went around pulling all download sites off. Last to go was an Oz university site. You need to find someone who has it burnt to CD. [ cough ]

Can't stop you running this as it was a freebie.

Many thanks for the info, John. Don R. very kindly sent me a CD of Intellicad 2000 which arrived today, and it is almost identical to Briscad, and works well.

The nicest thing about it from my point of view is that with all the toolbars off, I can run it as a command-line programme, with ALL the monitor set to the drawing apart from the Windows 2000 status bars at the bottom etc., and can set a small screen window up for commands where you need to have more than just a single character input.

The main benefit is that it then looks just like my old DOS Autocad

11, and it still recognises all the commands, but still responds with the Windows features if you need them.

Printed an A0 drawing onto an A4 page this morning on the laser printer, quite readable!

Thanks again, and also many thanks to Don.
