Compressor recomendation

Hi I need to look for a compressor for model engineering, painting, cleaning and general use. What type, range, capacity etc Any recommendations please

Since no one has replied to your request have a few links that might help.

I made the mistake of buying one with too small a tank. You need to allow for the CFM of the tools that you will be using so that the compressor is not trying to keep up with the air demand. Look at FAD rating for the compressor as this is often lower that quoted CFM.

Just bought a 26CFM with a cooler unit like a small refrigerator, the water traps on the machines throughout the workshop are always dry now as the cooler takes out the moisture. This is probably overkill for home workshop.

I have a three phase compressor I think its about 14CFM and has 200 litre tank. Was too small for our workshop so had buy the larger unit. If you have three phase then this might be a good size for you.

Have a look through these links - should find useful info.
