I don't like asking questions if the answer can be found from say the official manuals or from a huge collection of information which I have collected.
I have a front bearing which is pouring oil through despite being turned off, cleaned out and this is with a metering needle which looks in good order. In the casting is a brass sleeve which is screw cut to accept the needle but how it can come out for inspection and possible replacement has defeated me. It wont lift out and it wont screw out- with moderate force. Being fairly thin walled, brute force and bloody ignorance are out.
Has anybody removed the brass body and if so, how?
