hi , i am a student and want to create a cr drug.i am aimimg for ethylcellulose and methyl cellulose combination.however i do not know how to get the right ratio. please advice.

I've not done drugs, but have done other controlled release items. Here's some of the questions that you need to answer.
1) What is the drug? The chemistry/physics of the drug will determine the release system, not the other way around. 2) How quickly do you want the drug released? The shell will need to be adjusted to meet this.There are books about this subject, as well as journals (The Journal of Controlled Release) that would be good to refer to.

i have studied the drug and the related science. i am trying to aim for cr thr microencapsulation. i am aimig for a 12 hr release.with a combi of ethyl and methyl cellulose. how do we determine the ration of polymer to be used.and once we are sucessful in getting the miceroencapsulated product, how do we determine the amount of active in each microcapsule?????/is there any formula for this
