We're recruting four interns for our DARPA Grand Challenge team. (Robot vehicle, 150 miles through the desert, no driver.) Half time, $15/hr, work through October 2005. We need good C++ programmers. Game development/AI/3D geometry background preferred. Blender/Python knowledge helpful. Send a resume and 1000+ lines of C++ you're proud of to " snipped-for-privacy@overbot.com". Location is Redwood City, CA. Principals only, no recruiters please.
This is the coolest project around in robotics. And you can be a part of it. Much of the work will be done in a Blender-based simulator, but the real code is in C++ on QNX. Target environment is a network of three Pentium 4 machines running QNX and five programmable controllers, all on one 10baseT net.
NOTE: This is in Silicon Valley. We are NOT looking for remote people. There's a major hardware component to this project and you have to be here. We have a shop in an industrial park in Redwood City.
We need GOOD C++ programmers. We will look hard at the code you send us.
