I do joke about one party or another but IMO there is little
difference and no real moral high ground when it comes to politics,
tax & spend or tax cutting.
On either side of the isle, a politician that wants do the right
thing, vote on all issues strictly on each issues merits, not vote
according to party lines, public opinion or special interest group the
vast majority of times, knows it will cost them their job.
Cause and effect; As long as we-the-people are willing to vote people
in and out of office based on one issue or one vote out of thousands
of issues and votes, why should we expect any better?
So in the mean time we get to vote on the lessor of two evils rather
than who is the best person for the job.
And for those that didn't/don't vote, I say; "Shut the fuck up." you
got no right to complain cause you didn't participate.
Personally I don't like the political pendulum to swing too far left
or right. I take some comfort in the fact that with our political
system when the pendulum swings too far left or right it will swing
back. Making our political process whatever its flaws is better than
any other that I would care to live under.
Yes it is possible. No, you shouldn't do it.
Why loose further touch with reality? That would be a loser thing to
News. You are not a loser. You need to confront those who've told you
so. They do not have your best interest at heart.
There are 6 billion people on earth. Half of them are women. Perhaps 1
or 2 % of them are illiterate. Since you can read and write, you are
like a food producing god to them. You have the potential of earning a
living, and they don't. Worst case: 30 million plus women think you're
smart. Probably half the men in the world would give their right arm
to be as lucky as you. Quit belly aching. Some people can starve at a
banquet. If they do it is because they choose to or have mental
problems making them non functional. You are neither, so quit thinking
you are. Quit being impatient. Get on with improving yourself. Self
improvement is very attractive, and self pity is repugnant.
Ultimately, you are as attractive as you allow yourself to be.
Objects in mirror need to take a long hard look.
You must be a newcomer to the Internet. No Gustav Dore engraving of
Hell comes within ten orders of magnitude of conveying the absolute
nadir which the human animal can reach.
The mere existence of furries can be taken as conclusive proof that
there is no depth to which mankind cannot sink. <http://

Goddamm. You are ignorant.
Across the world, the need to improve literacy remains critical.
According to the UNESCO-sponsored Education for All 2000 Assessment,
more than 113 million children around the world have no access to
primary education. In addition, 880 million adults, the majority of
whom are women, are illiterate.
