I do joke about one party or another but IMO there is little difference and no real moral high ground when it comes to politics, tax & spend or tax cutting.
Rant on:
On either side of the isle, a politician that wants do the right thing, vote on all issues strictly on each issues merits, not vote according to party lines, public opinion or special interest group the vast majority of times, knows it will cost them their job.
Cause and effect; As long as we-the-people are willing to vote people in and out of office based on one issue or one vote out of thousands of issues and votes, why should we expect any better?
So in the mean time we get to vote on the lessor of two evils rather than who is the best person for the job.
And for those that didn't/don't vote, I say; "Shut the f*ck up." you got no right to complain cause you didn't participate.
Rant off:
Personally I don't like the political pendulum to swing too far left or right. I take some comfort in the fact that with our political system when the pendulum swings too far left or right it will swing back. Making our political process whatever its flaws is better than any other that I would care to live under.
