WiMo Robot - Windows Mobile 5 Cellphone as controller

Just saw an interesting article in MSDN Magazine on the WiMo robot. Here's a link to the article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc748660.aspx
Some links to get started: http://www.wimobot.com / http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Rory/Revisiting-WiMo-The-Windows-Mobile-Robot /
What really piqued my interest was this text at the very end of the article: "Did you replace a Windows Mobile 5.0 device with a Windows Mobile 6 one? What's your WM5 device doing now? You probably disabled the cell phone service, but everything else should still work. If this is the case, you've got a fully programmable mobile computer collecting dust in a closet-you should do something with it. Build a robot."
Using an old, out-of-date cell phone for a robot controller ! That's COOL! JCD
