Nice! Those are some pretty interesting photos. You got some good vertical shots too, although I love seeing the blue to black transition of the atmosphere (your horizontal camera).
One thing I might suggest is to try a camera that can focus on infinity (aka not a point-and-shoot camera). Fixed focus cameras (aka point-and-shoot) are really geared for things between about 3 to 35 feet, and anything closer/further is a little out of focus. I cut the autofocus sensor on mine so that it focused on infinity everytime. Here's a couple of the best:
