Local knitters guild questioned by the FBI: terrorist connections suspected

Erewhon, KY -

The local knitters, spinners and weavers guild was recently questioned by the FBI on allegations of supporting terrorist activities.

The ladies of the guild, mostly good christian folk in their 60s and

70s, deny any such allegations. The FBI claims that the guild has been producing weather protection devices, and that such devices may have been purchased by terrorists for nighttime and inclement-weather terror operations.

Under the Homeland Security Act, the aging fibre-craft practitioners could face stiff jail sentences for aiding and abetting a terrorist organization.

The ladies have repeatedly asserted their innocence, and have publically-denounced Ridge and Ashcroft as "godamn control-freak weenies with nothing better to do than harrass old ladies".

Better watch out, Ashcroft. They might knit an Afghan.
