Model & HP Rocketry Highly Profitable...

...for lawyers and insurance companies! Any idea how much money has been made by these people since the early 80's? My guess is around three million dollars. When I first joined the NAR in 1968 the dues were only five dollars. Things sure have changed! Dave ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dave Griffith TRA 7956 The R.A.T.T.-works Monterey Machine Products

They don't infight. They are firmly in favor of each other making money.

Their lobbiests actually strive for unfettered commerce with minimal rules and restrictions too.

We could learn a thing or two from them.

Three million gross reveniue (not profit) is pennies for 1/4 century of time investment

When I first joined the NAR in 1968 the dues were only five dollars.

that would make the dues $25 in today's money.

in 1968 the NAR did not have it's own magazine, it shared space in another publication. So lets add $22 for a hobby magazine subscription to that $25 and it's now $47.

the difference is not so great, what was the insurance in 1968 ? at some time in the past , NAR didn't have insurance either.

Not sure when NAR started offering insurance, but in the late 60s / early

70s it was $300K, and in IIRC 1973 or so was increased to $1M.

That is more of an inflation issue.
