(ROL Newswire) -- Giant Leap Rocketry, Inc. has released a new 98 to
75mm Threaded Slimline Motor Adapter. The adapter fits in all 98mm Slimline retainers (and even those from Aeropac). It slides into your existing 98mm motor tube and locks into your existing 98mm retainer. The aft and of the adapter is machined from anodized 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum. It is the same size as the aft end of an Aerotech or Cessaroni 98mm motor casing, so the adapter locks in place just like a motor casing would. You then insert your 75mm motor into the adapter and lock it in place with the 75mm threaded ring. It is a nested locking system that according to Ed from Giant Leap is "simple and easy to use".The adapter is made up of three parts :
1) The 98 to 75 adapter assembly: which includes the aluminum aft adapter, a motor tube, an additional three centering rings, and instructions. 2) The 75mm threaded locking ring. This ring can also be used for the up coming 75mm threaded motor retainer from Giant Leap. You only need to buy one ring for all your 75mm Slimline products. 3) The installation tool. This allows you to easily install the 75mm ring. It's the same tool used to install the 98mm rings, so you only need one. If purchasing items 1 and 2, you get the installation tool for free.
