Well well well, congratulations Jerry!

You specialize in rude. Are you racist too? You certainly personally attack those you disagree with, or just don't like.

Yo Roy,

Frugal machinist eh? What about Jeff Smith the original "Frugal Gourmet" do you admire? His ability to cook cheaply or his attraction to plump young boys?

A satirical response to satirical posting, get over it Jerry.. I'm sure Jim is not as he appears and would hesitate to resort to his name calling, in person, in other than a satirical manner. On the other hand, who are you to admonish anyone on rude behavior. Do you still see dead people?? Your so easy, ROTFL.

How do you have direct knowledge of such fact or is it just speculation, based on your own cercumstances or charistics?(;-)?

To totally hijack this thread...

Well, whoever you are, I want *you* to be the person responsible for keeping my [paltry shadow of your shop] shop neat and tidy. Did you do a special cleanup just to take the photos, or can you always eat off of the shop floor :-) I very nearly bought a 14 x 40 lathe a couple of years ago, but my septic bed and well (in rapid succession) had other ideas about what to do with a cash windfall I had at the time.

I spent several hours this weekend with a friend "cleanin up the shop". I have 1800 square feet of workshop, with 20ft ceiling. We got about 1/3 of it tidied up, and swept out. It had degenerated quite substantially since the general clean up we'd done only two years ago. The larger the space, the faster it seems to accumulate detritus, and "oh, that--just put it in the workshop until I figure out what to do with it"...

And why do some guys with small rockets feel the need to make slurs against the guys with big ones?

Been there, done that. As a kid, my rocket shop was a 5' long workbench. Has a Dremel moto-shop (jig saw) and a moto-tool.

When I got my own townhouse, 1/4 of the basement was my rocket shop, about

200 sq ft. Got a second Craftsman workbench, an old dresser for parts, and a bunch of those metal shelves. Plus a TV box for tubes and some wine boxes for smaller tubes, nose cones, etc. Started collecting power tools.

Then we built the house and I've got half of a 1300 sq ft basement for a rocket shop. If you read the New Astron Workshop, you know what the tool collection is now like. I've got about 60 linear feet of workbench. I had to spend a day cleanig up just to have room to build NARAM models.

Some day I'll have to post pictures of what my workshop looks like BEFORE the massive annual cleanup that I do the week before the NIRA building session.

"stuff" is a gas: it expands to fill all available space.

Even to general consumers in foreign countries with no pre-established means of paying. Whatever the reason for instigating such a policy, it's pretty hard to pick fault with it.

Normally its kept pretty neat and its rare it ever gets totally trashed.........It does not take any more time to put things back when you get them than it does to fall over them when you just throw em on a work bench in a heap. Its actually quicker in the long run to clean / put up as you go. Hey when your retired there is no need to get in a hurry anyhow! Visit my website:

Don't admire nothing about gourmet cooking or who ever Jeff Smith is or does...it is not my concern. Frugal this or frugal that, look it up in the dictionary, I am sure this Jeff Smith did / does not have a lock on that title by any means. But I do admire your frugal attempt to aggitate me but it will never work! Your gonna have to go for more than that dude! Visit my website:
