All this having been said. I find it to be a good site and serving a public interest well. Better than ROL in many ways.

Not at all. All the Estes motors are BP based. And the Quest motors too. Between them, they make up the vast majority of model rocket flights.

On the other hand, while the number of "big composite" and hybrid motors has been good up (kosdon, aerotech, Cessaroni, Propulsion polymers, Ellis, hypertek, rattworks...), the number of BP motor manufacturers has gone down (no more FSI, apogee, or Rocketflite BP motors.) Fact is, composite motors are safer to make, have somewhat less regulatory issues, and higher performance. Furthermore, bigger is easier, and more profitable, especially if you can charge proportional to fuel weight when the major costs are NOT propellant costs.

And Estes motors have gotten expensive (relative to their old price) too...
