Delay the November Election?

I'm aware of the Navy SEAL Kerrey's statements regarding war crimes. However, then Mr JOHN Kerry testified before a Congressional committee when he was representing the VVAW and said that he had participated in these various atrocities against Vietnamese. It was part of the all troops in Vietnam are rapists and murders testimony.

There's also this tidbit about how he's a big hero to the Vietnamese communists:

Maybe he'd be just as big a 'hero' to the Iraqi 'insurgents' and al Qaeda. I'd rather not take the chance.

It would not be delayed for threats. They are talking about disruptive attacks.

Yes, they determine when the Electoral College meets. But the States chose the electors, and that's the big day in Nov. It's nice if they can work together, but if the power goes out in Denver on election day they just pick another day to have the election.

Thanks, I live in a "battleground" state and that's the latest RNC ad. If the votes are like that farce on gay marriage, the fewer the better.

Which parts of "...chusing the Electors..." and "...the Day on which they shall give their Votes..." don't you understand?

Which date, the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, is established by 3 U.S.C. 1, enacted into law by the US Congress in

1845.

Wrong again. See above - they had damn well get the power back on.....

Because our foreign policy in the middle east has gone from a tilt to Israel to being a lackey of Israel, brought about by an unholy alliance between the neocons and the Christian Right, for their own interests rather than the best interests of the US. Kim M

Well duh, but not the section concerning the presidential election. What exactly was the constitutional authority for the Supreme Court to rule on the Florida recount? Kim M

Where was the constitutional authority for the FL Supreme Court to rule on the recount?

It ruled on the constitutionality of the Florida supreme court's ruling. SCOTUS trumps all state supreme courts.

I see. The Evil Joos are running US foreign policy, right? It's nothing but a VRWC I tell ya, and Ariel Sharon's the puppeteer pulling the strings of the Cheney marionette.

And here I thought it was all about the ooooiiiiiiillllllll........

You really need to get over that whole issue and move on with your life. I'll bet that when you're 85 years old, lying in a nursing home bed fouling your diapers, you'll still be bitching about "the Florida recount."

Holding that much hostility inside you will just make you a miserable, bitter man. Just let it go, man; let it go!

President for Life (AKA King). I thought that was one of the reasons we went to war with England.

I'll be bitching about that and Mach 2 models. Hell, if I make it to 85, I may be able to finish the models I have around.>Holding that much hostility inside you will just make you a miserable, bitter

I was a miserable, bitter man before November 2000.

And foul my diapers?

Well, duh. They were ruling on an appeal of a decision of the Florida Supreme Court (can you say "political hacks?). The first time the Supremes ruled on the Florida court decision, they sent it back 9-0 to the Florida court saying that they didn't understand the Florida court ruling and that they should fix their ruling. After the Florida court voted 4-3 in favor of Gore, the Supremes ruled 5-4 that the process was depriving Florida voters of their voting rights and ordered the re-re-re-counting stopped. FYI, Gore lost the 2 lower court decisions before it got to the Florida Supremes. They tried to force the Appeals Court Judge to change his mind, but he recused himself and out foxed them. There was a 211 in progress, but it was stopped by the Supremes, 5 of them anyways.

Cheers,

Ken

Bob Kerry was not a very good governor here in Nebraska either. Spent too much of his time chasing after Debra Winger.
