I have a 1/8 scale car which uses bodies made in "Lexan" +- 0.5mm. I amthinking in starting to make my own "carbodies". For that I know I have to buy (maybe make is better) a vacuform machine. Itdoesn't have to be much fancy so Ithink I might be able to make one (any tips on best ways to make one?). But before making the machine I must first check if I can find the Lexanmaterial an check it's price. From my searchs (Google) I found out that Lexan is made by General Electrics,from US but because I am fromPortugal I will end up paying a lot more in shipping expenses. What I am asking your help on is to know what really is Lexan? Is it a uniquematerial? Or I can find similarmaterial, with same characteristics and usable in "home vacuforming"? Where canI find it, preferably in Portugal orother European country? Thanks in advance for your help.
