Sorry for not posting sooner, but *I* needed to recover a little. MyGrandmother's "same day" surgery turned into an overnight obeservation(understandable given her age) and then we ended up staying in thehospital until Thursday of last wk. The urologist was able to remove most of the tumor in her bladder, and shehad a bit of a problem thanks to all of the antibiotics that they've hadher on. She is feeling better, and is still getting stronger with eachday. I guess one of the "good" things about the Alzheimer's is that SHEdoesn't know what all she's been through, but WE sure do. . . I'm still sleeping downstairs on the couch as she still has bothcatheters. We were HOPING that one OR both would be removed with thesurgery, but she wasn't able to void on her own (although she now feelsthe urge to purge and I'm taking that as a good sign) and he wanted towait until he knew the pathology of the tumor before taking out the otherone. So until then I will continue to sleep on the couch to make sure that shedoesn't doing anything "stupid" with either catheter. I just wanted to write and let ya all know what was up, and why I hadn'twritten earlier.
