OT President Reagan dies

I think Kim is just blinded by hate for all things Republican. He's entitled of course but he would be more helpful to the left's case if he'd base his accusations on facts.

Should be careful with absolutes. Here's a stem cell research debate timeline:

Those pesky old facts again! Will they never go away? ;-p

A brief google search reveales a host of sites which state that the Reagan administration put a moratorium on federally funded fetal tissue research in

1988. Fetal tissue and stem cells are very close related.

I remember it quite clearly. They moved the date for the COLA back from October to January some time in the early 80s. Kim M

Try again and take a look at my pay stubs. Even better-pretend Ahmad Chalabi or the Mossad told it to you. Kim M

My pay stubs are facts, and at least not forged like the Niger-ian ( I don't know the adjectival form for Niger) like uranium ore sale. Kim M

That doesn't equate to changing the federal government's fiscal year.

But is there any point in expressing them here?

(Admittedly, one could argue that most of what _I_ post doesn't belong here. That's not the issue. The point is, what value is there posting what amounts to a personal message to Reagan's family on a scale modeling USENET group?)

I'm certain he never criticizes nor mocks anyone else - like public figures, for example - for making similar mistakes in their utterances.

The same as in Nigerian for Nigeria? Kim M

Of course they were. Those documents weren't forged, front line Iraqi troops were issued with chemical weapons, we found the chemical weapons labs, the aluminum cylinders were for centrifuges, and the Iraqis could attack Britain in

45 minutes of an order given with WMDS. Kim M

Nigeriste? Nigerese? Nigian? Nigienne? (that's my guess)

The whole thing's kind of a colonial joke, really. Both France and Great Britain named colonies after the Niger River, and neither newly minted country chose to differentiate their name at independence. If there's confusion, they both deserve it.

'Nigerien', according to the CIA World Factbook.

No. Adjective form is Nigerien.

Some things never change. Reagan isn't even under the ground yet and some members of the drooling idiot left are already trying to re-write history. Did anyone see the interview on NBC's Today Show that cutsy Katie Couric did with Sarah Brady? They were gushing that Ronald Reagan was never an NRA member and had worked for an "assault weapons" ban and on and on... Next to Heraldo Riviera, Ms. Couric has to be the sorriest excuse for a TV journalist breathing. Of course, her network, NBC, is one owned by a group who are never afraid to exploit their media for political efforts and the truth be damned.

I dunno about that. The anchors on ABC, CBS, and NBC news could give her a real run for the money......
