railway guns

Anybody out there want to send this gentleman some details?

From: John Wressell Subject: Krupp Railroad Guns

Not that it is a nautical subject but has anyone come across any kits for the huge railroad guns made by Krupp during WWI & WWII? Would appreciate any leads.

Thanks, John Wressell

Check their web page -

Click on the products link, then armour distribution, then FCM - drop to the bottom of the page.

Don't know if Krupp made it, but I have a "Leopold" Railway Gun in 1:72 by Hasewaga. Don't have any idea if it still might be available.

All production German railway guns were produced by Krupp. Rheinmetall designed a 15cm one but it never made it to prototype.

Current kits I know of:

1/87 FCM - Dora

1/72 - Plastic Hasegawa - Leopold Hasegawa - Karl Morser Gerat 040 (with loader) Hasegawa - Karl Morser Gerat 040 (without loader)

1/35th - Plastic: Dragon/DML - Leopold Dragon/DML - Karl Morser Gerat 040 Trumpeter - Leopold

1/35th - Resin: CMK - Karl Morser Gerat 040 (they also sell the munitions loader as a separate kit)

This is what I get for writing things like this with a 102 degree fever. The Karl kits are the TRACKED guns. Sheesh.....

As such the list should be significantly smaller...

There are quite a few HO scale railgun kits from the European model railway manufacturers. These are incredibly detailed and very expensive. If you're interested I can dig out some URLs for you.
