What are the interior differences, if any, between the SdKfz 250/1 and
250/3?

The 250/3 version has a large radio set occupying the right side of the vehicle and a huge frame antenna above the fighting compartment. Gerald Owens

I have the Revell/DML 250/3, so it's not possible to make a 250/1 out of it?
Yes it is, just leave off the antenea and leave out the radio gear.
The DML kit is just their 250/1 with the extra bits tossed in.
