Some questions on MiG-27 Flogger (versions and colour schemes)

I have some questions on the MiG-27 Flogger. First of all, how many variants are there? From my sources it seems there were 3 versions:

- MiG-27 Flogger D: without lex and with a laser window (just a range finder or a target designator?) on the nose and missile and tv pods on the wings (removed on late ones). I think the former was a "delta device" for AS-7 Kerry.

- MiG-27 M(?) Flogger J: with lex, without the missile/tv pods and with a small fairing under the nose with a laser target designator.

- MiG-27 (?) Flogger J2(?): with lex, no missile/tv pods and with a bigger fairing under the nose with tv camera and LTD and with low mounted pitot tubes.

Is that right? I have photos of all 3 versions, and while both Flogger D and J have additional armour on the sides of the cockpit, I have a couple of photos of a J2 on which you can't see the additional armor plate. Was it removed on that version?

Also, what about the colour schemes? While late Floggers J/J2 carry more or less the same 4 colour scheme used on Flogger G/K, it seems early Flogger Ds used a simpler 2 colours scheme. In fact I'd like to depict the Flogger D "Red 20" that's on the color page of the Squadron Signal Book: it seems tan and green over light blue (or light gray?). I have another scheme for a MiG-21 of the same period and it uses tan FS 30219 and green FS 34079 over light blue FS 35622, maybe it's the same scheme?

Thanks in advance.
